Celiac Disease

Genetics

It is not clear what the exact relationship is between genes and celiac disease but it appears that there is a relationship between genetics and environment that determines if a person will develop celiac disease. It is believed that genes associated with the immune system are partially responsible for celiac onset tied to some form of stimulus from the environment such as a virus.

Celiac Disease is an education campaign on Pediatric Celiac Disease by the Children's Digestive Health & Nutrition Foundation.
